Background: Low Birth Weight is a public health problem. Low birth weight babies make an important contribution to infant mortality. During the perinatal period, the possibility of death for babies with low birth weight is 5-13 times greater than that for babies with normal birth weight. Objektive: Low birth weight will increase the risk of morbidity and mortality because babies are susceptible to infectious diseases, learning disorders, behavioral disorders and so on. Method: The aim of this study was to find out the description of the incidence of low birth weight babies (LBW) in Ny "E" babies at the Sengkang Family Clinic. Results: The type of research used in this paper is descriptive qualitative research. Conclusion: Descriptive qualitative research is a research using a case study method or approach. This research focuses intensively on one particular object that is studied as a case. Case study data can be obtained from all parties concerned, in other words in this study collected from various sources (Sugiyono, 2019).
