Abstract

Newborn babies are also called neonates, which are individuals who are in the process of growing and who have just experienced birth trauma and must adjust from inside the womb to outside the womb or extrauterine (Titiek, 2022). According to the United Nations Population Division (UNPD) (2022) based on World Population Prospects (WPP) data, in 2021 it will reach 2.17 children per woman and in 2022 it will reach 2.15 children per woman, which means that Indonesia is experiencing a decline in the birth rate every year. Objective: The aim of the research was to find out a description of the management of normal newborns 0-6 hours for Mrs "S" babies at TPMB Mutiara Bunda Siwa, Wajo Regency Method: The research method for this case study uses a descriptive case study design which is carried out by objectively describing the research results of the phenomenon under study. Results: The results for Mrs "S"'s baby regarding the management of normal newborns 0-6 hours, namely preventing infection, cleaning the airway, cutting and caring for the umbilical cord, assessing Apgar scores, IMD, anthropometric examination, administering eye ointment, administering Vit K injection. , physical examination, immunization against geratitis B, monitoring for danger signs and preventing heat loss. Conclusion: So it can be concluded that the management of newborn babies, the care provided is in accordance with the management of BBL in general.
